The painting of the Plumeria flower is a close up of her petals in a very soft, silent morning light. While focusing on only single fragments of the flower (e.g. smell or touch of petals) and not concentrating on the sheer appearance, the feeling of purity and elegance is mainly expressed through an abstract play with subtle shapes and colors. The impression of the flower could be also described by ones of Georgia O’Keeffe’s citation: „ (...) one of the things that gives me a lift off the earth - like a grand cold sunny day“.
